Notes: Spoilers through season two. Thanks to the ever patient absolutedestiny for his beta help, and to f1renze and jarrow for initial reactions and loveliness. What else? Um, I adore Sam Winchester. Y'know, cause you probably couldn't tell.

Comments and feedback are loved, appreciated, and possibly framed!

Don't wanna hear the noises on TV,
Don't want the salesmen coming after me,
Don't wanna live in my father's house no more.

Don't want it faster, I don't want it free,
Don't wanna show you what they done to me,
Don't wanna live in my father's house no more.

Don't wanna choose black or blue,
Don't wanna see what they done to you
Don't wanna live in my father's house no more.

Because the tide is high,
And it's rising still,
And I don't wanna see it at my windowsill.

Don't wanna give 'em my name and address,
Don't wanna see what happens next,
Don't wanna live in my father's house no more.

Don't wanna live with my father's debt,
You can't forgive what you can't forget,
Don't wanna live in my father's house no more.

Because the tide is high,
And it's rising still,
And I don't wanna see it at my windowsill.

Don't wanna see it at my windowsill.
Don't wanna see it at my windowsill.
Don't wanna see it at my windowsill.

MTV, what have you done to me?
Save my soul, set me free!
Set me free! What have you done to me?
I can't breathe! I can't see!
World War III, when are you coming for me?
Been kicking up sparks, we set the flames free,
The windows are locked now, so what'll it be?
A house on fire, or a rising sea?

Why is the night so still?
Why did I take the pill?
Because I don't wanna see it at my windowsill!

Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!
Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!
Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!

Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!
(Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!)
Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!
(Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!)
Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!
(Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!)

Don't wanna see it at my windowsill
(Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!)
Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!
(Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!)
Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!
(Don't wanna see it at my windowsill!)

It certainly bears repeating that this is the first SPN vid I have ever loved. Considering I lukewarmly like the show, that is a HUGE achievement. You've really created something spectacular here. More specific feedback to come after multiple viewings :-) For now...so much love.

This is beautiful. It really made me think about the evolution of Sam as a character. The show has done such a good job developing both Sam and Dean, and I got a real sense of that in this video. I really liked the scenes you picked. It didn't feel like I was watching "just another Supernatural fanvid". I really enjoyed this.

You really capture the family dynamic, this vid had the same emotional impact on me that season 2 did...that is to say: a huge, angsty bittersweet impact. I mean the family ties are crazy strong and they all love each other but they hurt each other so damn much. And while I haven't seen a huge amount of spn vids I've seen a few and it was nice that the clips you chose didn't seem to be a whole bunch that I've seen before in every other vid out there. And the song was *spot on*.

So, yes, I liked:)

Oh, Sam. Sammy, Sam, Sam. I don't think there could be a better song choice and you just get me right *there* with it. Just, amazing.

Oh, my god. I have no words. I want to give coherent feedback, but I completely lack the words, because this vid is utterly awesome. Character portrayal, motivation, clip selection, flow and transition-- it's brilliantly done.

And the insight it gives into Sam and into the Winchester family dynamic as a whole-- but especially for Sam.

I adore this vid like oxygen. Thank you for making it and sharing it!

This is so gorgeous. It made me teary-eyed at the end; you completely captured Sam's hell.

I haven't even watched this yet but YES, OMG. The first time I heard this song I thought of Winchesters.

... And I've watched it now, and OH. Oh, ow. Well done! I really liked the thing with the windows at the first chorus, and... um, the whole second half. Sam, oh Sam. *clutches heart* Thank you for sharing!

Firstly, my apologies if this isn't the first time I've left you this comment. I'm looking for SPN vidders and following links for recommended vids and scouring vidding sites:)

Just wondering if you'd be interested in being listed as an editor on The Imapala, a new Supernatural vidding archive which _gater_ and I have set up to run alongside our existing Stargate vidding archive Kawoosh!?

If you would, you can submit your vid HERE.

We do have a hosting policy which you can read about HERE. So as you will have a permanent link coming, that's why I've left this comment :)

We also have an LJ comm running alongside the site if you're interested: impala_kaz2y5

Thanks :)

I really loved this. Great focus on Sam's journey, and incredibly moving; I loved your clip usage and the song fit so well. Thanks for posting.

SAMMY!!

Oh, sweeest, I ADORED this. What a great study of Sam, of all that he's been through in these two seasons and how he went from not wanting any part of it to where he is now. I love the last shot of him as a baby, it makes the whole thing seem even more tender in retrospect, especially when the last most recent shot of him before that is him with the gun (and then the shot from the pilot, where he looks so very young). I love the repeated refrains of "don't want to live in my father's house no more" so much. How perfect for both the boys but, IMO, Sam especially. And I love that you managed to successfully build to two climaxes here, the one where it ends with hell bursting free and then the second, final one of Sam basically losing his innocence (and also, paralleled to hell bursting free - Sam is now "loose" on the world, too, and he doesn't seem quite right).

I loved this!

That was absolutely beautiful, such an amazing build up of tension and horror. Just wow.

I should have commented yesterday when I downloaded the video, but I didn't have the time or the lucidity to do so, because this.

This is masterful.

It's better than any story, better than all the words I've ever written or tried to write or wanted to write about Sam Winchester. This says it all. And it breaks my heart.
