Notes: Spoilers through 4x14. Many thanks to everyone who said, "Ooh, a Donna vid! Do it!" and to renenet and absolutedestiny for looking at the final draft and informing me that I was not crazy. Also, this vid is dedicated to fan_eunice, who is awesome on Donna levels of awesome. *hugs you to death!*

I felt my vocal chords weakening
I felt my concave thoughts
I felt my voluntary blindness
For staring straight into the sun
The romantic air of your eye patch
Called me across the room
I clung there and I danced with your silent
Admired your divine tattoos

We slept in the shadow of a cedar tree
We made love on the rising tide
We smelled the perfume of the waxing moon
We dreamt of all friendships kind
We touched the blood of the black cat
We pet the mammoth dog of tears
In the flickering light we were laughing
"Necessity conquers fear!"

Don’t lose yourself
Don’t let yourself be lost
Don’t lose yourself
Don’t let yourself be lost

Dreaming we were stones in black stillness
Dreaming of the death of the sun
Waking to a world of white blindness
Painted eyes of the holy ones
The death of the word was upon us
And the discipline of the wind
We see less and less all the time, dear
Just look at this mess we are in

Don’t lose yourself
Don’t let yourself be lost
Don’t lose yourself
Don’t let yourself be lost

Staring at the entrance to the mine
I prayed for your wounds to close
Tiger ointment and a cosmic collision
And the crucifixion of the rose

Don’t lose yourself, don’t lose yourself…

Don’t lose yourself
Don’t let yourself be lost
Don’t lose yourself
Don’t let yourself be lost...

OH. MY. FREAKING. GOD! Yeah, um, you know how I just watched this vid earlier tonight? Well, I was just COMPLETELY blown away by it AGAIN. Holy CRAP, Morgan! Do you have superpowers? You have superpowers, don't you? Keep using them! ::hugs you endlessly::

Here from fan_eunice's rec--when someone who's as fantastic a vidder as she is says something's awesome and should be watched immediately? I hop to. And I'm glad I did. That is just indescribably gorgeous and perfect.

Oh, God. Donna. Oh, my heart.

The last 30 seconds pretty much killed me dead. I've rarely seen effects used so well, so to the point. Also! Laura Veirs! I adore her. What a fantastic song choice it is for the story you've told.

Oh I love this so much. You've really captured the awesomeness of Donna as well as the tragedy. The way you conveyed the fading of her memories at the end was as nifty as it was heartbreaking. ♥

Oh, god. I love Donna. I love her absolutely to bits, and your vid just made me cry because she's so, so awesome. God. LOVE. Seriously.

Turn left, Donna! TURN LEFT!

Yeah. You? bring tears to my eyes. (As does Donna. Because, well, DONNA.) You are fucking amazing, my friend. Absolutely fucking amazing. *sighs and makes flaily hands at the vid in my incoherence*

As my icon might indicate, I am not a neutral observer... ;)
Here via vonnie_k, giandujakiss and about four others on the reading list.

I feel as though I should alter this icon so it says something like "you > all" because that vid brought a lump to my throat. I thought it was cut with wit and velocity and structured brilliantly, from the set-up in the first bars to Donna's narrative in the first verse, then Donna's first loss of her life in "Turn Left", then the brilliance of the final section where you use effects to show the real loss in Journey's End.

While I am clinging on to rumour, hope and Catherine Tate's utter lack of any answer one way or the other on Radio 4 this week that this is the end for Donna, if it is, this is a gorgeous meditation on her time. Thank you

Here via giandujakiss's rec and just had to say how much this blew me away - perfect song, perfect timing and juxtaposition of clips, and it made my heart ache just a little.
Thank you.
